Kyle Amor and my role at Ortus Energy is to develop new business in the North of England. I love engaging with new people and building mutually beneficial relationships. Before joining Ortus Energy I had a long and successful career as a professional sportsman, playing Rugby League for over 15 years, winning 9 major trophies. I still continue to be part of the game working for Sky Sports as a pundit/commentator every week.
I am dedicated in supporting clients with their renewable and sustainable energy projects. With 17 years’ experience within business finance, including roles at Lloyds Bank and RBS, as well as working with challenger banks and finance brokers, I have a deep understanding of the UK financial landscape. Two years ago, focus shifted towards a crucial and ever-growing field of renewable energy and green finance options. ensuring businesses receive the best PPA funded solar PV solutions.
Before joining Ortus, I had a fair amount of exposure to solar energy projects which set a solid foundation for the knowledge I would gain at Ortus from some of the best in the business. My role at Ortus is within the finance team, assisting with cash flows, payments, invoicing, and management accounting. My motivation lies with the desire to help build an organisation that is making a positive and meaningful impact on the world.
With experience studying electrical engineering and computer science, I work in the design team at Ortus, sizing potential projects as well as various software engineering responsibilities. I find my work incredibly satisfying, on top of this helping push industries to be more climate-friendly is a great motivator.
I have been a summer intern at Ortus since 2021, and I now occupy the role of student researcher; exploring what motivates organisations to deploy solar energy. I am fortunate at Ortus to be surrounded by talented and experienced individuals who have motivated me and enabled me to become a knowledgeable and productive part of this ever-changing industry.
